If you have to say something about ttrpg to rpg-er, say it.

If you have to say something about ttrpg to rpg-er, say it. Don’t preface it with preparatory messages on what is a ttrpg or historical context is a tar pit and you won’t get to your main point. It might be proper form in some circles, but it is useless and risks building unnecessary friction. (Except, obviously, if what you want to address is the definition or history of ttrpg)
