  1. J'ai envie de répondre : "ça dépend". Je pense :
    - qu'un joueur qui est déjà passé derrière l'écran a des chances d'être un meilleur joueur
    - qu'un joueur qui est quasi exclusivement meneur a des chances d'être un moins bon joueur
    - qu'un bon joueur sera bon qu'il soit ou non meneur à côté et inversement

    Being a player and DMing are two different things. There are similarities, though. But not enough that there can be a correlation between playing and DMing.

  3. Yes, these are two different skillsets (and tastes). But there is some overlap. (Overlap that grows with the number of different games played.) And some things you notice more when you're on one side of the screen and can pay attention to when you are on the other side. (Like cycling improves your car driving for the surrounding cyclists.) I don't believe the overlap is sufficient, but I wanted to check with you.
